Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy
1. Returns and Refunds
We strive to provide high-quality products and excellent service. As our noodles are food items, we adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards. Our return and refund policy is as follows:
1.1 No Returns on Opened Food Items
Due to health and safety regulations, we do not accept returns on any opened food items. All products must remain in their original, sealed packaging to be eligible for a return.
1.2 Damaged or Incorrect Orders
In the unfortunate event that your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, we will offer a refund for the affected product only (excluding the delivery fee).
- Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
- Any claims for refunds due to damage or incorrect items must be made within 24 hours of receiving your order.
- Submit your request via email or WhatsApp with clear photos of the damaged product and packaging.
- If approved, refunds will be processed within 10 working days.
1.3 Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to reflect in your account. Should you wish for us to refund you on a different account, send us your banking details at info@noodleshop.co.za with your order number as the subject line.
2. Exchange Policy
We do not offer exchanges on food products for safety reasons. However, if you have received the wrong item or a damaged product, you may request a replacement within 24 hours of delivery.
- The item must remain unopened and in its original condition.
- Exchanges are subject to product availability.
- If the requested item is unavailable, we will offer a refund (excluding delivery fees) instead.
3. Legal Compliance (Consumer Protection Act, South Africa)
Our policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, which allows consumers to return defective or incorrect goods but does not require businesses to accept returns of perishable items unless they are unsafe or defective. As a food business, we adhere to this law by ensuring hygiene and food safety standards while offering refunds or replacements for damaged or incorrect items.
